The VAFA website commenced in
2000 as a fairly basic site. CV Web Design came on
board in 2001 and redesigned the site from scratch.
The site has built up year after year and is one of
the leading Australian Football league/association
websites. |
2006
 |
In accordance
with the Australian Football League, the VAFA joined
the 'Telstra AFL Network' (Sportal), and therefore
had a new website designed - somewhat of a downgrade
by all reports!
CV Web Design still however
did some web development work to meet the needs of
the VAFA in 2006. A online merchandise order form
was designed.

In 2005, a
majority of the focus was placed on the back-end of
the site, however there were also some changes to
the design and layout of the site.

2004
 |
Another year,
another fresh new design. A focus in 2004 was
bringing the site to life, especially with the use
of colour. A number of minor additions and
enhancements of existing features were added to the
site.
A major new
feature was the introduction of the database-enabled
fixtures system. This allowed users to view fixtures
by the current round, full season fixtures for
sections, clubs and grounds.
The VAFA
website continues to gain popularity, in 2004,
almost half a million visitors accessed the site.
In November,
the official website address of the VAFA website
changed from vafa.asn.au to vafa.com.au.

2003
 |
The VAFA website
received a major overhaul prior to the 2003 season.
As well as a fresh new design, a MySQL database was
also installed to manage a majority of the content,
including news, events, results, ladders, club
details and more. More colour was integrated into
the site as well as interactive features such as an
opinion poll.
2003 also saw the
introduction of the VAFA Record online, Live scores
for representative matches and grand finals, as well
as site search.
Website traffic
continued to grow with over 275,000 people visiting
the site during the year. |
2001-2002
 |
CV Web Design took over the
official website of the Victorian Amateur Football
Association in 2001 redesigning it into a
professional site with many new features.
The basic site design remained
the same in 2001 and 2002 with only a few new
features added in the 2nd year.
In 2002, the VAFA website
was visited more than 150,000 times. |
